Joan's Weekly Challenge 3RD of the Year.

Well, I hope everyone is staying warm, we just had our first snow of the year, and brrr it is cold outside. Anyway, it was very pretty and we did not get very much, maybe about 5 inches or so. I love the big storms, with a few feet, but one a year and then bring on Spring.

Well, on to business at hand, I hope to be posting more frequently in a week or so, it seems everything has been a mad rush since Thanksgiving, so hopefully my life is getting back to being quiet again. I am hoping to be able to get back into being more creative, and I hope to do that by starting to practice my techniques at flower making, (little ones using punches), and to be inking up quite a few stamps (I have found so many that have never been used, time to use or sell) ,I also want to branch out in some new areas as well .

So here is my card that I made for Joan's Challenge this week, here were our guidelines for this week,
Challenge #3:
■Use a door or window or something similar
■Use an out door type of stamp
■Use a flourish
■Use either an embossing folder or embossing powder

And of course here is Selma's wonderful sample card. She is FANTASTIC.

Pretty sure I covered all bases. In fact the stamp I used behind my window scene was one I just purchased from one of Joan's wonderful sales. I also used my Window Die from Poppy Stamps (love that die). The flourish I used is a Doohickeys die, Leaf and Swirls I believe. The larger flower is also a die, from Die-namics, and the tiny flowers on the swirl are from a Martha's Stewart punch around the page set, and it is one of the tiny flowers that gets punched out. And lastly the greenery behind the flower, are from dies from Memory Box. My image was colored in with colored pencils, copics and also some chalking, a little bit of everything. My light blue card stock is embossed with a cuttle bug folder I believe, and then I used a nestabitity die behind the window die and scene.
Think that is it.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and ENJOY.
Thanks for stopping by.
Hugs
Donna
