Final Bout for the day!!

Well here is the last for the day, well for now anyway, and again this is for the Quick and Easy Challenge of the Week over at Joan's Gardens, a wonderful blog to hang out at.
Anyway, this one I used Bazzil card stock, embossed a white sheet on top of some PP, embossed it with my Polka Dot embossing folder, you can't see it much, I guess I was not at the right angle when shooting the picture, and I am so whipped from shopping I don't have the energy to go and re shoot, sorry.
Anyway, I then cut a square with my Fleur DE Li's nestabilitie die, distressed the edge with vintage photo, added the pretty large brown bow, some bling and the Prima decorations in the middle of the Fleur DE Li's.
I know I cheated, usually I make most of my flowers, but I have to use up some of this Prima I have sitting around, too pretty not to use, it is a catch 22, love it so much I want to keep it, but then it is too pretty to keep it sitting around!!!

And that made this one quick and easy!!
Thanks for stopping by, may be back later with another, we'll see, husband wants to go to the mall when he gets up from his nap!! And for some dumb reason even though I was so tired, I could not fall asleep!! Hopeully will sleep tonight!

Bye for now,
hugs
Donna\
Thanks for stopping by.

Another Quickie!! :))

Well, second go round for another creation for Joan's Gardens weekly challenge, which is supposed to be quick and easy to create.
And that is what this was, Embossed with Swiss dots embossing folder, Made a red bow and attached, stamped the sentiment, added some bling, touched up with distress ink and DONE. Can't ask for any quicker than that!!

Quick Creations

Hi All, well today's posts are for the Weekly Challenge over Yonder at Joan's Gardens, this weeks guidelines is supposed to be cards that were easy and fairly quick to create, and for me I did 3 that took me about about an hour total to make, so for me, that is quick.
No lengthy explanations today, went Christmas shopping, so I am POOPED.
Here is the first card. As they are easy, it should be pretty straight forward what I did. Used bazzil card stock, an embossing folders, used my chalks on top of embossed and raised image, stamped the penguin image and touche it up with my colored pencils, added a bow and touched up around the hat with a glitter pen.
Thanks for stopping by,

Todays Second Go Round, called Cold Hugs!

This is a card I started some time ago, and just could not finish for some reason, had the image stamped and colored and that was about it.
So added it to some Dark blue card stock, used my Nestabilities edgeabilities for the edge of the card.
I also used Cheery Lynn Minature, Medium and Large Rose Dies to make the flowers.
Used one of my Memory box dies,La Rue Flourish, that is behind the Maggie stamp, which I colored with my copics. Then popped it with some 3D foam dots for dimension. Punched some various size snowflakes, added a bow and some bling and FINISHED.
Thanks for stopping by.
Entering this in the weekly Challenge over at Joan's Gardens, Anything goes Christmas creations, wonderful site!!
This is also entered in the Weekly challenge at Cheery Lynn's Blog, the theme is Flowers this week, check it out!! Whom dies I just love!! You have to use at least one of their dies in the challenge.
Thanks

Commercial break will be back!!
Later,
Donna

Todays Newest Additions to Xmas Collection of Cards

Well, did not think I would do any cards today, but could not sleep, it is 2 am right now, so finished up two cards I had started the other day, here is the first one, and it is Window die Grand Madison from Poppy Stamps. I also used my Hero Arts stamp Musical Walk, and also some of my Heartfelt Creations Tree Stamps, this is the view through the window. Used Distress inks from Ranger.
I made the greenery from one of my Cheery Lynn dies,(B 118 Pair of ferns) and also Martha Stewart punch.
The flowers are made with a Cheery Lynn die (B152 Miniature Rose)just love this die, heck, love all my Dies.
Also used, Memory Box Fauntleroy Crest Die (top of window). Just winged it and cut the curtains free hand, added some bling here and there, stickles in the middle of the flowers, and I think that is it. Don't remember the PP name, from my stash.
Thanks for looking,
Will be back with other cards shortly.
Hugs
Donna
Gee almost forgot, going to enter this card in Joan's weekly challenge over at Joan's Gardens, WONDERFUL site, this weeks challenge is Anything goes Christmas Card, take a gander on over!!!

Another fantastic site is Cheery Lynn, where I get a good amount of their Dies, either directly from them or Joans Gardens, she carries most of their dies and will order anything you want if she does not have it in stock, ask and you shall receive.
Wonderful service from both sites.
Also entering this card in the Weekly challenge at Cheery Lynn's blog, you have to follow the theme of the week, use at least one of their dies, (more is better of course), I would use a lot more if I had a lot more, but we all know how that ball rolls, that dreaded almighty dollar holds us all back!! :)
Check out their site and blog, you won't be sorry.

Im BACCCCCK!

Guess I lied! OOPs. I made 4 cards today, that has got to be a record for me, and that is only because one card was started last week, and I finished it today, hate when something sits around staring at me 1/2 finished.
So this last card was another made for our local Stamp and craft Store, again it is Decembers Monthly Card Contest , they give the supplies and you can add anything to it, but you must use all of what they supplied. And as it applies, it also will go for Joan's Weekly Challenge, so I will enter it there as well.

I Used one of my nestabilities label dies, forget the number and too darn lazy to go look, sorry, used distress inks, lots of 3d Foam to raise the labels, used my Heartfelt Creations Tree stamp, Magnificent Spruce set, love these trees. I also used my Memory box die, for making the shining star. Added a some sparkle on the star and trees using a glitter pen, does not show up much in the picture. This I think was the easiest of the cards to make, hardest part was cutting the frame out with the dies, other wise Easy Peasy as they say.

This is my LAST post, off to watch that movie , finally.

Good night to all.
And Thanks for stopping by my lonely little corner of the world.

Donna

Last of the Day

Well, this is the last post of the day, and last card, as I am watching a movie and will probably fall asleep watching it and looking around Pinterest, love that site!!

Last card again for Joans Challenge and it was going to be for another challenge last week, but I never got it finished, so finished it today!!

Dark brown card stock, The Frame is Gold card stock and the die used is from Cheery Lyn designs(Japanese Garden Lace), and then I used my Nestability Poinsettia die , and used a rich red vellum and made the poinsettia with that, and the greenery is My Gentle leaf die from Poppy Stamps and Martha Stewart punch, mixed them all together, added some bling and done!! Was going to add a bow, but thought it might look too busy.

See you on the flip side, and thanks for stopping by. Hope to be back tomorrow.

Hugs
Donna

Round Two

Back again, and with my second card of the day, this card is again for Joan's Challenge over at Joan's Gardens and it is Anything Goes week, and my card today was made with a Poppy Stamps die, called Grand Madison Window, and I LOVE this die, you will be seeing a lot of this one I think! I used my spellbinders Poinsettia die and Martha Stewart spring punch, and another die from Poppy Stamps, called, Gentle Leaf.

And that is all she wrote!! May be back in a bit with another card that I made.
Thanks for stopping by.

New Weeks Creations

Well, the start of a new week, and a few more cards for the weekly challenge at Joans Gardens, my first card is also for a Monthly contest at our local Stamp Store The Cove, they supply the PP and card stock, and some embellishments, you have to use all or some of all, and can add anything else you want.
For the contest at Joan's this week, it is ANYTHING goes for Christmas, so easy enough.
The first one is a new die for me, from Memory box, a Christmas tree. So dainty, but enjoyable to work with. It does not show here, but the tree was sprayed with a spray called Mr. Hueys, and it adds a very nice glimmer to it. I would have used bling and not the red bows that are on the tree, but had to use them as they were part of the package supplied by the cove.
Be back shortly with second card.
Thanks for stopping by.

Winter Window

I am so excited, I just got in the mail yesterday my new dies from PoppyStamps, they are two window dies one of which I used in this card I am showing today. I used the bigger of the two dies for this card. I stamped some trees with distress ink, using different shades of color to create depth, then to add more depth, I added 3d foam dots under the window.
I made the wreath with the Martha Stewart sprig punch, and some bling and a bow.
Then added some more sprigs at the bottom of the window and draped some lights that I have had in my stash for some time.
I had to use this PP, as the card was made for a local contest and they provide the supplies and you have to make whatever card you would like with what they give you, and you can add what ever you would like as well, The card is also for the weekly Challenge over at Joans Gardens. She is now carrying these window dies as well, when I ordered them I did not know she would be carrying them, as I saw them used on another blog, called KittieKraft, she does beautiful work.
So if you have time check out the challenge over at Joan's, wonderful place to visit and do some shopping !! :)
Another wonderful blog and place to get some inspiration is over at Wee Memories, Jenny and all the girls there do a fantastic job, and have challenges, and such, there is always a lot going on. So this challenge is a free for all, anything goes, so there are a few guidelines and must do's, go on over and check it out!!
So many wonderfu challenges going on, another terrific blog I came across, and entering in their challenge as well, is Card Makin Mommas, really enjoyed myself check it out!! Challenge #35 - Christmas, is their challenge at this site, Card Makin Momma's.
I am also entering this card in Crafty Emma's Store's Blog contest, they have a lovely site with some awesomely talented folks posting, so if you have time, check them out!!

Final Tag for the Month

Well, here is the last tag I will probably make this month, have to finish my shopping and clean my house!!! Used the same embossing method and products with this tag as with my first of the day today, the snowman. Used embossing folders, distress ink, perfect pearls misting spray and bling.
And make some cards! :)
Thanks again for looking.
Will also be entering this tag in the weekly challenge over at Joan's Gardens, wonderful, wonderful blog and shop, and also check out Selma's blog as well, as she is Joan's design team and is so so TALENTED and her cards and creations are just AWESOME!!
Donna

More Christmas Tagging!!

Well, here is another Christmas tag, this one was done following Mr. T!m Holtz, hope you enjoy, again, this will be entered in Joan's weekly contest, over at Joan's Garden's, a wonderful place to get inspiration and to shop!!!
Thanks for looking.

Another Tag for Challenge

Well here is another tag for the Weekly Challenge over at Joan's Gardens, it has been a nice change doing some tags from making cards, I used to get breaks doing some layouts, but I have stopped making layouts until I fill up and use all the finished ones that I have piled up!!!
So here is another tag I made, and afterwards it will be another bookmark for me!!
Thanks for looking,

Donna

Christmas Tag Inspired by Tim

Well, for the last 3 years I have done the 12 tags of Christmas along with the oh so talented T!m Holtz, but after the first 3 tags, I ran out of steam and did not even have some of the products to complete one of the tags, and had nothing to substitute even for it, so I just decided with all that is going on and that I had to do, to forgo doing the rest of the tags this year. But I am going to enter the first Tag I did, at the challenge over at Joan's Garden this week, the theme was to do a Christmas tag, anything goes, may even enter the one or two Tags I did manage to get done, have to see if I have the steam to photo them and make the posts!!
So I hope everyone is having fun preparing for the Holidays!! I have mixed feelings about them, so won't go into it right now.
Take care and Happy Holidays.

Snowmans Delight

Well, here is a Snowman card that I did for a challenge over at Cheery Lynn Designs Blog,to use what Dies you can of Cheery Lynn and to make a card anything but Square, so I used a spellbinders die to get the shape of my card, and then used a older stamp that I had of a snowman, and cut it out, colored it with copics,
Used the Italian Flourish Die, and also used parts of the Victorian Romance Flourish, and also some of the Pine Branch's set, along with Olive Branch's to make the wreath.
And that is it, oh added some bling to the wreath and the little bow to the wreath as well. If you have not used the Cheery Lynn dies yet, I highly recommend them, they are great, I love them along with my spellbinders of course!! :) Check them out, they have a lot of gorgeous dies, and ship quickly as well, in that they are better than spellbinders, :) !!!
I also used one of Martha Stewart punches for the edge at the top.
That is all for now, may be back later, who knows.
Have a great rest of the week.
Hugs
Donna

Winter Scene

I know it has been a while, but with the Holidays upon us, my time is not my own, and my diseases have had a hold on me and I have had a bit of a time dealing with them, but Hopefully my mind will win over them!! Enough about my issues, on to my cards.
So first, I have created a few cards today, will post separately.
I also was very busy with getting 39 cards off to Jennifer McGuire for a Drive they have been doing for the last few years, Cards that Care, where in they collect Christmas cards to send to the seniors that don't have family in Nursing homes and such, check it out, the drive is over now, but keep it in mind for next year, I work on them through out the year for this drive. So I was busy filling in and writing in each card, so that took me some time.

My first card is one I did for a challenge at Joans Gardens, a wonderful website, check it out if you have time!! She carries great products and will order for you what you need if you want,if she does not have it in stock !! Great lady.

I did the back ground on this card with a technique I learned from Selma's blog, it makes the card look like it is snowing, check out Selma's blog for directions, (one very talented lady, does awesome work), which you can see much better on the card in person, than in the photo here, and then according to the challenge you had to have an animal in the picture, use a die, use some form of embossing (sentiment is embossed in white embossing powder), and to create a scene, so hopefully all is covered with my entry. Obviously I did the scene, and used the die to cut out the deer, (Memory box die) and another die to make the flower (Cheery Lynn die). That's all for now.
Be back shortly with another post.
Hugs for now,
and thanks for stopping by

Gift Bag

Just a quick post, not much new. Made this cute little gift bag to use for a git card.
Not sure for whom or when, so I left the label unstamped for the time being. I only adhered it with temporary adhesive so I can remove and stamp what I want when I decide.
A very easy gift bag to make, here is the blog where I got the idea from , it is "Scrap and Stamp with Frenchie" , a very enjoyable blog.
Well that is all for right now, will post a picture of the bag I made.
Thanks for stopping by.

Off to make chocolate chip cookies with my granddaughter!!! Don't you just love grand kids!!!

Gift Box

Well another week, and another challenge over at Joan's Garden's, we had to make a gift box with a ban, using Graphic 45 paper and we then had to decorate the ban, was going to use a pretty bow, but decide to make a pretty poinsettia instead using Spellbinders die, I think it came out pretty. Does not show much in the picture but I used a new spray Mr. Huey's and boy does it glisten, used it on the inked veins of the leaves, and just the veins of the leaves.
Made the little box, which will be great for giving gift cards, over here at Selma's wonderful blog, if you like go check it out.
Well off for some more creating, busy month.
Thanks
See ya soon,
hugs

Getting There!!

Hi All,
Well, slowly but surely getting back to normal, trying to recoup after catching my husband's cold, so nice of him to share!! The head cold is gone, but I feel so weak and drained, everything take such an effort. This card I made over the last few days is a new method I used, well for me, I had seen it before but did not do it. If you are curious you can check it out here on Selma's web site, she is so very creative and makes such wonderful cards. She is the creative designer for Joans Gardens, whom of which I created this card for her challenge this week, here. Joan is another very creative person and has some wonderful challenges. So if you want, check them out and take a gander.
So that is the method I used to make this card, and the stipulations in Joan's challenge is what got me to create this card, I have to say, it is one of those cards that looks better in person than in the picture.
Well, off to take a well needed nap, and then maybe make antoher card. I am donating all my Christmas cards to Vera, whom sends a bunch of cards to various nursing homes for the elderly, this year she is teamed up with Jennifer McGuire, so if you care to help, cling on the blinkie on the right that says, Cards That Care! I did this last year as well, I have about 20 cards to send her so far. You can read all about on her blog.
Have a great day and Thanks for stopping by.

Alright, now I will post the second of the two cards I did for the weekly Challenge at Joan's Garden, sorry it is just easier for me to post my creations separately. Joan's challenges are great, some very talented ladies there, and Joan has very lovely prizes! Check it out!!
Thanks again for looking!!
Any questions just post a comment and I will get back to you.
Thanks
Donna

Well, another weekend comes around and I actually had some time to make some cards, well that is only due to the fact that my dear Hubby and I are both sick, so we can't go any where, or don't feel like going any where. So when I get to feeling so lousy I can not sleep, I go in my craft room to work and keep myself busy so I don't realize how lousy I feel.
So I got my 12 cards done for a Christmas card exchange that a bunch of girls are doing at our local Craft store, I am glad that I did not put it off to the last minute!! I will post a picture of them tomorrow.
Right now I will post a picture of two cards that I did for the weekly Challenge over at Joan's Garden (here), check it out, Joan gives out some nice prizes!! This week she is giving a Cheery Lynn Die, and I LOVE those dies!!

Guess that is all for right now, going to go watch a movie, and maybe get a few hours sleep, (I HOPE)!!

See you soon,

TFL!!

Spring Garden Card

Hi, hope everyone had a great weekend and their new week is going well, as we all live for the weekends!!
Just a quick post today, here is a card I did for a challenge and exchange, the challenge is for a Girlie card, so mine has flowers and flowers are girlie, so it is girlie as this chick gets, as I was raised a tom boy!! I was always playing in the Creek with the frogs and turtles, have always had an affinity with and for animals.

Anyway, the challenge is at Joan's garden "here", great place to shop and see lots of great creations and challenges, stop by if you get the chance.
Then my card will be off at some points for places unknown, for the monthly card exchange over at Lily Pad Cards, HERE. Another great place. I have been doing their monthly card exchange for a long time now, and it is so nice to send and receive cards from all over the world.

Oh well, house to clean, dinner to cook, I am sure you all know the routine.
See you soon, God willing.

Hugs

Some More Choices

These were some of the other options I made for my Christmas card mingle Exchange. I finally decided whom I am sending what, now I have to make another card and I have to make 12 of that design for another exchange I am doing through our local Craft Store, The Scrapper's Cove (Here), a great place to shop and hang out!! The girls are so friendly there, it is like going home when you visit.
Oh well, if I am not back have a great weekend.
Take care,
hugs
Donna

This is one of the cards I did for my flickr group, for our Christmas Card Mingle, I have to make two cards and send them on to two other fellow card makers, and I could not make up my mind what I wanted to do so I had about 5 cards started at once, could just not make up my mind, so will post a few of the ones I made, they are ok, but nothing is wowing me. The thing is we have to use Hero Art stamps, and I love their stamps, but there is nothing I have of theirs that I really wanted to use. They do have some new ones out for Christmas, but nothing I want. I have a bunch of the new Penny Black ones and will be making some new ones with those over the next few days.

If you have any questions, just leave a comment and I will reply to you.

Off to watch a movie, will be back in a few days I hope, god willing!!

Stay safe, healthy and Happy!!

Fall creations WCM Weekend (2nd) card

Well, This is the other card I created, used some Bazzil card stock again, Hero Arts stamp G2569 Tall Pumpkin, F5270 Traditional pumpkin, S 5316 Silhouette Grass. Used distress inks to stamp with, copics to color with, and I 3 D foam popped the pumpkins. Put glossy accents on the stems of the pumpkins, some bling and a bow. I also distressed the edges of the stamped image and used Vintage photo distressed ink around the edge.

Sentiment is on the inside.

Well, take care for now, hope to be back soon.

Donna

Fall creations WCM Weekend

Well had some time this weekend to do some creating and hope to do some more tomorrow. Started these two cards Friday, took the pictures and then finished them up today, did the fronts on Friday and the insides today, had to let some things dry.

Kind of some simple cards, but for me time consuming, I never seem to be able to do anything fast these days. This first card is using some Bazzil cardstock, Heartfelt Creations Stamp Rustic Autumn Wheel. I love their stamps. And I used my copics to color it in with, and some PP behind it. Added some bling and a bow, and done. Sentiment is on the inside. I made a similar card for a fall exchange on my flickr group at the same time, but a bit different. Forgot to photo that one before I mailed it, oh well.

Now I think I will go and try and answer some emails, will post my other card shorty in a second post.

Thanks to anyone that happens on to my blog, I am not an avid blogger and don't have many followers, so i do most of this for me. But just wanted to say thanks just in case.

Take care,

Donna

Miracle Two in a Week!! Yowzers!!

Well, I am on a roll for sure!! Two post in 1 week, a record for me, it does take me forever though, this card and box took me a whole day to do and then some fiddling on the next day. I am so slow and keep changing my mind along the way.

Anyway this card and box I made as an entry for the Challenge over at Joan's Garden , you have to create a card, use purple color some where and also some 3D type embellishments, flowers, butterflies, and it has to be a Birthday Card. And you also have to make the box to put the card in as shown here at Selma's Stamping Corner . The card took me a day, the box about a 1/2 hour and the bow about another 1/2 hour, I seem to be bow challenged, usually I use my bow maker, but this bow I am made following Becca Feeken's direction and using her peg bow maker that my husband made out of scraps of wood in the basement. Here is Becca's wonderful site, Amazing Grace, she does some fantastic work as well as Joan and Selma, all very creative women!!!

So I am entering this card at Joan's challenge this week and also the Bling Challenge over at Lilly Pad Card's.

And then of course I will post my work of creation on Hero Arts Flickr site, here, and I guess that is it. I have a list of what I used under the picture on my Flickr page. I upload all my creations to that web site.
Contact me if you have any questions!!
Thanks for looking,
Off to make a fall card for a fall card exchange on our Hero Arts Flickr group.

Fall Card

Well, long time since I have posted, I have been waiting for the cooler weather to get motivated, and it has been a long time coming, we did have a brief spell of nice weather, but the warmer HUMID weather returned with a vengeance and the A/C is back on full time!! I want the 60 degree days and mid 50's nights, I know, weird, but when one is on oxygen, you require different weather!!

So my creating has not been wide spread, but will be showing my latest creation, a simple card, using bazzil card stock, white, cutting out the leaf cutouts with the Lifestyle crafts die cuts, then stamped the surface with the HA Stamp set Real Leaves, CL457, and CL395 Leaf Prints, with various colors of distress inks, and then stamped with the HA Envelope Stamp S5507. Then distress in various places with different colors and then the edges with Vintage photo. I cut one of the small leaves out and colored and then covered with Glossy Accents and when done with all else stuck with 3D dots. On the inside of the card in the center of where I punched the leaves I put the sentiment and bling. I think that about covers it. Will also post another short description of two other projects I did for the Cove in Milltown, for the September Monthly Card Challenge and my homework for another Craft Class held once a month there.

I had also noticed the challenge for a "Bling" card over at Lilly Pad Cards Blog, so I am going to enter this there. There blinkie is on my side bar, so hop on over and check it out!! Great Blog.

Well, it is a lazy rainy Sunday, so I am going to try and spend some time in my craft room and with a good book.
Take care,

Donna

Weekend of Hurrican Irene!!

Hi all,
Just me, popping in on my own Blog, have to do it once in a while!! Hope to do it more often soon, guess I am just destined to be one of those once in a while bloggers.
Anyway, was supposed to be off to my dear Brothers wedding tomorrow, but thanks to Hurricane Irene, my butt is staying home. Very unhappily staying home. Would rather be sharing the day with my brother and his new wife to be Margaret, but all things aside I did not want to chance driving home on Sunday with Irene roaring her ugly head. Not with 6-12 inches of rain forecast and the gusting winds. So will just have to stay home and create!!!
So anyway, attached today you will see the card that I made for my dear brother. Picture is above.
I am going to try and provide a link to my photostream where you can see the picture better and also an envelope that I made to send it in. You can also take a peak at some of my other creations if you like. Also there you will see what I used to make this lovely card.
Here is the link, Donnas Photo Stream.
Thanks for looking and Stay Safe during the storm!!!

June Update

Sorry I have not been around much, hope to start to be able to get back into motion this week, so look for me to return, have had a rough couple of weeks. May explain some day, for now I won't depress you or me.

I am now taking the Summer Card Camp Class's by Jennifer McGuire and Kristina, and so looking forward to that, will be making my first card tomorrow. A few others have also caught my eye, so lets see how much energy I have this week, plus it is supposed to be quite warm here, so that will be keeping me indoors.

Right now trying to catch up on blog reading and emails!! So many to read, as today was my birthday and I have so many great Birthday wishes!! Have to read them all, they all warm my heart!! My dear husband and I went to a lovely lunch, we were going to the movies, but my back is hurting so bad I could not stand the thought of sitting in those chairs for 2 and a half hours, so maybe over the weekend. Then the family came and we had birthday cake, so all and all it was a very nice day.

Just visited Lily pad cards, whom I have followed since their grand opening and they are having a give a way of some Hero Art Stamps, and I am just doing as requested to be able to participate.

">

So, come on over to Lily Pad Cards, great place to play, learn, make friends and just have a great time.

See you all soon,
Hugs

And the Week Rolls on!!

Hi All,
Well the week is progressing and trying to get ready for taking a trip to see my Brother, so there is always something to do. The card I am posting today I did a few days ago, as a favor for our local Stamp store, it is a Penny Black stamp, love their stamps. And I had seen this stamp used and a card made over at Lily Pad Cards and just fell in love with it, so I changed it around a little bit and added a few Hero Arts little stamps to it, and made it my own version!! Enjoy and if you get time, hop on over to my friends blog here, Dana and give her some love as she helped me figure out a few of my dear Computer and Blogger issues!! Hopefully now I can post without issues.
See you soon,
Donna

Latest Endeavors

Just thought I would add two of my latest creations, I made the Hydrangea card just as an experiment, I had done this one previously and colored it with my copics, this one I used my colored pencils and I thought I would like the copic colored one better but I actually like the colored pencil one better, the small flowers on the big flower are more brilliant looking. And I can't show you the copic one as I had made that and given it to someone and forgot to photo it. OH well, such is life.

My other card is one that I made for our lovely local Stamp and craft Store The Cove, in Milltown, NJ, and we are going to the Expo in Somerset NJ this weekend and they had asked me to make some cards showing some of their products they sell and this one was showing Tim Holtz's Pen Nibs, and this was the best I could come up with, what else do you use an old fashioned ink pen tip for other than writing a letter?

Well, hope you enjoy, thanks for stopping by.

Glorious Day for ME!!!

Well folks, lousy weather here in Old NJ, but has been a good day for me, a dear friend and co crafter went on a cruise recently and she is big into the Cricut machine, and this was a Gypsy cruise to better learn how to use her Gypsy. Well my dear husband had built a stand for our dryers for embossing so we could emboss hands free, so he built a few and they are for sale in our local store. Pat bought one and has a different dryer than what the stand was built for and we have been going back and forth trying to do adjustments to her stand so she can use her old dryer until it dies and then she will buy the correct one, anyway, while she was on this cruise my husband had her dryer and stand and came up with an easy fix (second one) and she came to pick it up and she had a little gift bag with her, and she said it was for me,f or all we have done for her, well I almost fell over when I opened it, inside was a brand new with two cartridges installed on it already GYPSY.!! She had won it on the cruise and obviously they all have one already, so Pat thought kindly of me, so glad she did, I am tickled pink!!
Totally made my day!!! Now I have another thing to learn how to use!!! But will enjoy it none the less!! Thank YOU PAT.

Then my dear Flickr friend Dana has helped me finally figure out how to put the gadgets on my side bar and how to post links in my postings, something I have been trying to SELF learn by myself for months now and got so frustrated that I did not want to Blog anymore, so now hopefully that I can do these things I will be posting more.

But first off, I am going aways for a week to upper New York state to visit with my dear brother Skip, we will be staying in a house on Lake Keuhka NY, and it is gorgeous up there, so will pick up my blogging upon my return and will start it off with some beautiful pictures (I hope).

Thanks for stopping by and see you all soon!!!

Here is one more Penny Black Card, Made this for my dear Mother in law for Mothers day. I don't have my Mom around any more, and my Mother in Law is great, so I hope she does not mind being my Mom now!!!
Enjoy

And wishing all of you Mothers out the very Best of a Happy Mothers Day.

Sunny Days

Hope everyone is enjoying a glorious Saturday am. It is sunny and gorgeous here in New Jersey, and is forecast to be that way for the next week, HOORAY!! This is my time of the year, with my health issues I don't do well in the heat or cold so this is perfect for me, I personally hate when we go from winter right into 80 degree weather and humid, I love my SPRING.
Any way, I have been very busy stamping away, our local SS is having a booth at our local Trade show in two weeks, and they have asked me to make demo cards using some of their products to promote sales, and gee they asked me to a make a bunch using Penny Black stamps, one of my many favorites, so I will put up some of the cards I have made for them. I had to keep them simple which is hard for me, they wanted the people at the trade show, not to be overwhelmed, thinking that it would be too hard for them to do. So no fancy cards, just some CAS cards. I have made 15 so far and now have to do some using some alcohol inks, time to get messy.

If you like stamping you have to check out the Lily Pad Cards, their Blinkie is on my side bar, stupid me, (Blog challenged) can not figure out how to add links into these posts, have tried and get so annoyed when it does not work!.) Their Blog is GREAT, lots to learn, do and get inspired by.
Another great site is The Penny Black Blog, and The Daily Marker. Both wonderful Blogs.
Oh well, back to crafting.
Hugs to all.
Donna
The first picture is Penny Black stamp, and the second card is using some Hero Arts stamps and mixed with some Gina K. stamps. I am not commited to just one stamp line, I am addicted and love most that I come across, my house would be filled if I could afford it!!! God forbid I ever win the lottery! I would buy a house and use it just for crafting, fill it with supplies and invite anyone to come by any time and just have fun, no charge, and that house would be filled with stamps, EVERYTWHERE!! A true Crafting retreat!! One can DREAM, where would be without our DREAMS.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Hero Arts 90 minute Challenge At Flickr!!!

Hi All,
Well, this weekend is my turn to be Hostess to the 90 minutes Scramble Challenge.
We all at the Flickr Hero Arts group have been having regular Challenge's with a random winner being drawn out of those whom participated. Lots of fun, it is amazing what you can do in 90 minutes, and the mess one can make of their craft area in that short of a time frame! When it starts, 2 PM this time on Saturday March 5, I or the hostess of that challenge, will tell you what the guide lines are or what you have to make your card of by or around. Sounds hard but it is easy and fun. Did not think I could do it, but did and had a blast and now I am addicted, love doing them.

So if you are free come join us. Been trying for over an hour to add a link to the web page and I am so stressed, it won't let me add a link (Blogger), tried numerous times, so will try copying and pasting it here, and then you can do the same until I figure this out, now you know why I don't blog on a regular basis!!

Ho Hum

Well, as I have no followers, I have not been blogging lately, and that is my fault as I am not a good blogger, I don't get enough time to come here and be able to think and then type, so it is hit or miss, my new years resolution was to Blog daily, well that went right out the window!!! WE have had one thing or another happen and it has been non stop. We recently had a death in the family that has left us a bit numb. My dear brother in law died unexpectedly at 53, heart attack we think after having shoveled snow that day! Be careful, hire some young teenagers, it is not worth it, we may think we are in shape, when some times as we get older, we think it but we aren't, I am the first one to admit it. So now there is such a void by his boisterous antics and dry humor. I find myself missing him daily, he lived only 4 houses away so we did see him all the time.

So now life goes on, as it must. I try to keep busy creating my cards, and doing the things that need to be done.

So one of these days, maybe I will get interesting enough to write about myself and what I am doing. For now. This Blog is just on hold and to be used for my card challenges and creations. Above is one of the Thank You cards that I made for Johnnys Funeral, that in itself has kept me busy. I used some Hero Arts stamps and also Gina K stamps, bazzil cardstock, memento ink and some bling!!
If someone does stop by, THANKS.
